Inverness (USA) Intercollegiate abandoned - lightning in the Toledo area
The final round of the Inverness (USA) Intercollegiate tournament at Inverness Golf Club, Toledo was abandoned and eventually cancelled because of the threat of lightning in the area.
So it became a 36-hole tournament, of which the joint winners with aggregates of eight-under-par 134 were Kaleb Johnson (Michigan State) (65-69) and Nick Heinen (Oklahoma State) (68-66)
Toledo's Joseph Bryce (74-72 for 146) from Bathgate and Duncan McNeill (80-73 for 153) from Annan finished T43 and T80 respectively in a field of 87 players.
St Mary's California (558) won the truncated team title by one shot from Michighan State with UCLA and Michigan sharing third place on 565.
Toledo (585) finished 12th of 13.
