Only four Scots survive PGA assistants cut

Only four Scots - Steven O'Hara, Rodger Clarke, Thomas Higson and Graeme McDougall - survived the 36-hole cut in the Galvin Green PGA assistants' championship over three rounds at Coxmoor Golf Club, Sutton Coldfield.
O'Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure) is the best placed of the quartet in joint seventh place on 143 (70-73), only three shots behind the English leader, Matthew Fieldsend (Drayton Park) (69-71),
Clarke (Golf Dedication centre) is T13 with rounds of 71 and 74 for 145.
Higson (Gleneagles) is 146 with scores of 72 and 74 while McDougall (Elie Links) made it through on the limit mark of 149 with rounds of 73 and 76.
Scottish non-qualifiers included Andrew Pillans (Banchory) on 143 (76-77), Rory Tinker (Piperdam) on 154 (82-72), Ogilvie Robertson (Panmure) with a pair of 78s for 156, Tom Ogilvie (Duke's) on 157 (79-79) and Kevin Moran (Balbirnie Park) with 83 and 78 for 161.
Add to that list late finisher Steven Maxwell (Eastwood) with 81 and 75 for 156.
