Successful Seniors Championship at Hamilton
Lanarkshire
staged a very successful Seniors Handicap Championship yesterday at Hamilton
Golf Club. The tournament looked in doubt early on due to rain and flooding but
a change in the weather and good fortune meant 134 senior golfers enjoyed their
annual Championship.
Thanks to Hamilton Golf Club greenstaff who were on hand
all day to keep the course open. Hamilton avoided the
worst of the rain in the neighbouring areas and all the
competitors praised the
excellent condition of the course.
Main winners
were Walter A Stewart of Easter Moffat with a scratch 70 and Harry McNeil of Easter Moffat with a nett
61 off a handicap of 11.
