Lanarkshire
retained the Scottish boys' inter-area championship with an excellent
victory at Stranraer on Sunday. The foundation was set in the morning foursomes with a
superb 67 from last year’s winning team members Greg Dalziel and Lewis Irvine,
which was three under par, and a 76 from new boys Scott Thomson and Kieran
McAllister, which gave Lanarkshire a joint halfway lead with Fife.
Steady rounds
in the afternnon from the four boys ensured a one-stoke victory. Greg and Lewis
will have the chance next year to go for a unique three in a row!
