Wilson leads Tartan Army in Welsh amateur

Balmore's James Wilson was the leading Scot in joint seventh place at the end of the first round of the Welsh men's open amateur championship at The Vale Resort today.
Wilson shot a one-under-par 73 to be six shots behind the leader, Gian-Marco Petrozzi (Trentham), who will start the second round of this 72-hole event with a four-stroke advantage.
Five of the big Scottish entry are T17 on 74 - Sam Locke (Banchory), Jeff Wright (Forres), Barry Hume (Haggs Castle), Kieran Cantley (Liberton) and Eric McIntosh (Bruntsfield Links)
