Petrozzi leads Welsh open stroke play by nine

strokes after 54 holes


English-born Gian-Marco Petrozzi, a member of Trentham Golf Club, Stoke-on-Trent is spread-eagling the field with a brilliant performance through 54 holes of the Welsh men's open amateur stroke-play championship at the Vale Resort.
Petrozzi has had rounds of 66, 69 and 70 for a 14-under-par tally of 205 (it's a par-73 course) and is NINE shots clear of the second placed Dutchman, Koen Kouwenaar.
Young Scot Stephen Roger (Cruden Bay) is sharing third place with England's Jack Gaunt (Drayton Park). Roger has had scores of 75, 69 and 72.
