John Daly overcame a nervy finish to clinch his first professional victory in over 13 years at the Insperity Invitational in Texas.
Daly picked up his first US PGA Tour Champions win since joining the senior circuit after turning 50 in April last year as he closed with a three-under 69 despite bogeys at each of the last three holes at The Woodlands.
Despite his faltering finish, the two-time major champion had built up enough of a lead to cling on as Tommy Armour finished bogey-bogey to take the gloss off a 67 which included a superb run of four birdies and an eagle in a six-hole stretch on the outward nine.

Daly led overnight and made a spectacular start as he eagled the first, and he added a birdie at the third before atoning for a bogey at the fifth with another birdie at the seventh.
The 51-year-old gave himself a comfortable cushion over the chasing pack with three birdies in four holes from the 12th, and he had enough in hand to stumble over the line as he posted a winning score of 14 under par.
