Duncan McNeill T27 in a field of 100 at


Border Olympics in Texas

Duncan McNeill from Annan, a second-year student at McNeese State University, Lake Charles in Louisiana, finished T27 in a field of 100 players at the Border Olympics college golf tournament played over a long par-72 course at 7,204yd at Laredo Country Club, Texas.

What should have been a 54-hole tournament was reduced to two rounds by rain.
Duncan, pictured, had a couple of tidy scores - 71 and 73 - for a total of 144 - nine shots behind the individual winner, Mike Colgate (Nebraska) who had scores of 66 and 69 for 135 and a one-shot victory from Jesper Svensson (Campbell) (70-66) and Max Rispier (Bowling Green State) (69-67).
Campbell University (559) won the team title ahead of Houston (564) and Texas-San Antonio (565). McNeese State (573) tied for fifth place in a field of 19 teams.
