Doak's 67 best of day as he finishes joint 4th on Algarve Pro Tour

Scot Chris Doak came with a late rush - a best of the day second round of 67 -to finish joint fourth in the Algarve Pro Tour's 36-hole Quinta de Cima Classic at Quinta da Ria Golf Club today (Monday).
Doak birdied the first, second, fourth, fifth, 12th, 17th and 18th in halves of 34 and 33. Bogeys at the eighth and ninth prevented him from catching the winner, England's Jamie Abbot (67-69 for 136)
Stirling graduate and former Irish amateur champion Cormac Sharvin tied with Englishman David Dixon for second place on 137.
Tantallon amateur Lewis Reid improved by eight strokes with a two-under 70 to tie with Conor O'Neil (70-78) for 28th place on 148.
