Oldcorn claims top Scot honour in Algarve Senior Stroke play

Spain's Pedro Linhart birdied the final hole (on Saturday) to hold off a late surge from compatriot Miguel Angel Martin and win the fifth Algarve Senior Circuit stroke-play tournament by one stroke after 72 holes over the Pinheiros Altos and Laranjal courses.
Linhart shot 72, 69, 65 and 73 for nine-under-par 279.
Martin made up five strokes on the leader with a final round of 68, after earlier scores of 70, 69 and 73, for 280.
Englishman Stephen McNally (67-72-75-67) finished third on 281.
Compatriot Gary Wolstenholme came fourth on 284 (75-67-71-71).
The leading Scot on 294 was Andrew Oldcorn with rounds of 70, 74, 76 and 74.
