FOTHERINGHAM AND GODSMAN TIE AGAIN FOR NORTH ALLIANCE VICTORY AT SPEY BAY

Bryan Fotheringham (Forres) and Moray member Kyle Godsman from Hopeman, the two most successful players on the North Scottish Golfers' Alliance circuit this season, were joint winners of Saturday's first fixture of the year, at Spey Bay Golf Club.
They both shot three-under-par 67s, Fotheringham with birdies at the ninth, 10th, 14th, 15th and 16th, offset by bogeys at the eight and 13th, while Godsman, out in the first group of a field of 79 players, set the clubhouse target with birdies at the first, second, fifth, eighth and 15th. He bogeyed the fourth and 11th.
It is the second time in the 2016-17 season that Fotheringham and Godsman have tied for victory, repeating their result achieved at Nairn Dunbar in November.
Godsman leads the winners' table with four to Fotheringham's three.
Another Moray Golf Club member, Bob Adams aced the 115yard 15th hole using a No. 8 iron. This was his fourth ace, all achieved within the last 15 months, and his second in the Alliance. He was partnered by Bill Duncan and Neil Munro (also Moray).
Adams has a handicap of nine and shot a net 77 in this tournament.
