Midland College, Texas students Tom Bailey, a second-year student from East Grinstead, and Ben Murray, pictured left, from Portlethen, near Aberdeen, were on 148 and 157 respectively after two rounds of the two-day Odessa College Invitational at Odessa County Club's Links course (par 72, 7463yd), Seminole, Texas this week.
Bailey has had rounds of 76 and 72 for 148; Murray 76 and 81 for 157.
Stefan Cronje (Midland College) (71-72) and August Hole (Odessa College) (74-69) are sharing a two-stroke lead on 143 over a field of 30 players.
Hosts Odessa (587) are leading the team event from New Mexico JC and Midland College with Western Texas College (624) third and Odessa's B team (633) in fourth place with a round to go.
