Rookie Jack McDonald earns £1,950 for T6 

finish in Kuwait

Rookie pro Jack McDonald from Ayrshire earned £1,950 for a tied sixth place finish on nine-under-par 201 in the MENA Tour's Sahara Kuwait Championship at Kuwait City today.
McDonald, who turned pro in March after a successful amateur career, had rounds of 65, 69 and 67, his final round including birdies at the first, third, sixth, and 13th in halves of 32 and 35. He had one bogey, at the 15th.
The Scot finished four shots behind the winner of the £8,028 first prize, Yorkshireman Joe Heraty who scored 62, 70 and 75 for 13-under-par 197, finished two shots clear of another Englishman, Daniel Owen (65-70-64 for 199) who earned £5,352.
Former Scottish U18 boys' champion Paul Doherty slipped to a final position of joint 13th on 204 with rounds of 67, 65 and 72 for six-under 204. He earned £769.
