South Korean sets Major scoring record in winning the Evian
In
Gee Chun made history today en route to claiming her second major
championship title in a wire-to-wire victory at The Evian Championship in France.
The LPGA Tour rookie set a new major championship scoring record – male or female – with a four-day total of 21-under par 262 with rounds of 63-65-65-69. She finished four shots clear of compatriots So Yeon Ryu and Sung Hyun Kim.
Jodi Ewart Shadoff from England finished T12 on 279 with rounds of 73 71 64 and 71.
Catriona Matthew finished T36 on 284 with scores of 73, 70, 72 and 69.
Charley Hull has rounds of 71, 70, 73 and 74 for 288 and a share of 52nd position.
