Scots squeezed out of top places at Loretto School Scottish Open U14s' championships

The home representatives were squeezed out of the leading positions in the final round of the Loretto School Scottish Under-14s boys and girls' 36-hole championship at Craigielaw Golf Club today.
Jean Bekirian from France tied on one-over-par 143 with England's Dominic Clemons (Gog Magog), both with identical rounds of 75 and 68.  
Clemons went on to win the title with a birdie at the first play-off hole.
The highest placed Scot was Cameron Johnstone (Troon Welbeck) in joint 13th place on 151 with rounds of 76 and 75.
It was an England 1-2-3 in the girls' tournament with Caitlin Whitehead (Kendal) winning by three shots with scores of 80 and 67 for 147.
Annabel Fuller (Roehampton) also had a very good second round, a 68, which earned her a share of second place with Rosie Belshan from Whitley Bay. Rosie shot 76 and 74.
