It's that man McIntosh again! Euan (47) wins
SE District Championship by eight strokes
By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Euan McIntosh, the 47-year-old former Scottish assistant professional champion, continues to make the headlines in his comeback year as an amateur.
Today the Turnhouse Golf Club member shot a final round of 64 for a 16-under-par total of 264 to win the South East District Championship at Royal Musselburgh by an astonishing margin of eight strokes.
His earlier rounds were 70, 63 and 67
McIntosh's performances since he took up the game again last August after putting away his clubs for the best part of 10 years, during which he was in Germany, have already earned him a place in the Scotland amateur team.
Runner-up was Matthew Clark (Kilmacolm) with scores of 71, 64, 68 and 69. Chris Low (Tantallon) shot a 66 in the final round to earn fourth place, one ahead of this year's Scottish boys' champion, Eric McIntosh (Bruntsfield Links).

Euan McIntosh wins Order of Merit after

super comeback season at age of 47
FROM SCOTTISH GOLF
Turnhouse’s Euan McIntosh put the seal on his superb comeback year with victory in the final Men’s Order of Merit event of the season, extending his winning margin in the overall standings.
The 47-year-old has turned back the clock in some style in 2016, winning the domestic Men’s circuit and earning a first Scotland Home Internationals cap at Nairn earlier this month after a 27-year absence.
McIntosh continued his form over the weekend to storm to an eight-stroke victory in the South East District Open at Royal Musselburgh.
McIntosh, a former professional who only returned to Scotland in April after 20 years away, fired rounds of 63 and 64 in his 72-hole total of 264, well clear of Matthew Clark (Kilmacolm) on 272.
Chris Low from Tantallon secured third place on 274, with the Scottish Boys champion, Bruntsfield Links’ Eric McIntosh, a stroke further back in fourth spot.
