Kerr Investments' 36-hole OOM pro-am at Dumfries and Galloway

Tie between Graham Fox and Jason McCreadie
with Greig Hutcheon third
By COLIN FARQUHARSON
A birdie shoot-out to the £14,530 Kerr Investments 36-hole Order of Merit pro-am at Dumfries and Galloway ended in a tie between Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) and Jason McCreadie (Largs) on 12-under-par 128.
Both men shot closing rounds of seven-under-par 63.
So too did third placed Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Inchmarlo) who finished only one behind the joint winners of 129.
Overnight leader Paul O'Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure), winner of the Scottish young professionals title earlier in the week, found that his final round of three-under 67 for 131 was not low enough to hold the birdie-hunters at bay.
Fox and McCreadie earned £1961 each. Hutcheon £1,261 and fourth-placed O'Hara £871.
Fox posted the clubhouse target of 128 with a bogey-free round of seven birdies, the bulk of them - the 10th, 11th, 14th, 17th and 18th - after the turn for an inward half of 29.
McCreadie came late on the scene with his 63 to catch Fox. The Largs man had eighth birdies in halves of 32-32. But the bogey at the 15th cost him outright victory.
Hutcheon had bogey-free halves of 33-30.
O'Hara had a bag of seven birdies but had a costly run of dropped shots with a bogey at the short eighth, a double bogey 6 at the 10th and another bogey at the 11th.
Cameron Marr (Musselburgh) led the Kerr Investments 2 team of Andy Milner (handicap 18), Rich Milner (13) and Barry Millard (18) to victory by five shots with a 36-hole total of 44-under-par 236.
