O'Hara wins Lanarkshire boys' championship

Craig O’Hara of Airdrie won the Lanarkshire boys' championship yesterday over his home course with two 72s for a total of 144 and a one-shot victory over Graeme Greer and Scott Thomson.
Best score of the day was a scratch 68 from Alexander Hay (Lanark) who pitched in at the last for a 2. Par for course is 69
The course stood up remarkably well to the constant rain and the greens were great all day, vindicating Airdrie Golf Club’s decision years ago to put in 18 USGA spec surfaces at a great cost. Money well spent!
Handicap prize was won by Cameron Kennedy (Airdrie) with a net total of 137 (72  65) LEADING SCRATCH
