Ross Cameron's 66 gives him the first-round 

lead in Morocco

Ellon's Ross Cameron (Saltire Energy) leads the Open Royal Golf Anfa by one stroke with an opening round of five-under-par 66 at Mohammedia Royal Golf Club, Morocco today.

Cameron, pictured, reached the turn in four-under-par 32 with an eagle 2 at the second and birdies at the short fourth, fifth, sixth and par-5 seventh being bookended by bogeys at the first and short eighth.
He had eight pars and a birdie 4 at the long 16th in his inward 34.
Sharing second place on 67 at Antoine Schwartz (France), Faycal Serghini (Morocco) and Bernard Neumayer (Austria).
France's Mathieu Decottignies led after nine holes with 31 to the turn but he took 41 shots to cover the second nine, including a triple bogey 8 at the long 16th.
 Portlethen's Sam Kiloh (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) is tied 27th with a par 71 but former Scottish amateur champion Alexander Culverwell had a disastrous finish on his way to  76 and a share of 85th place.
The Dunbar man, out in 37, birdied the 15th and 16th but then had a triple bogey 6 at the short 17th and a triple bogey 7 at the par-4 18th.
