Duddingston trainee pro Ross Munro wins 

Andrew Oldcorn Trophy at frosty Liberton

Despite a frost delay 77 members of the Edinburgh and East Alliance competed for the Andrew Oldcorn Trophy at the re-scheduled event at Liberton Golf Club on Wednesday over the par 67 course (33-34).
A score of 66 represented both the best scratch and handicap score on the day with four scratch scores on this number and also two net scores of 66.
James Silvestro (Dalmahoy) with an excellent 73 less 7 looked like he would claim the trophy with his inward 29.5 (33 less 3.5) but near the end of the day Trainee Ross Munro from Duddingston, with a gross 66 and a four under par inward nine of 29 did  just enough to put his name on the silverware.
Top scratch prize was shared on 66 with three of the four sharing coming from the Trainee front via Louis Gaughan (Bathgate), Ross Munro (Duddingston) and Marc Owenson (Gullane) with Duncan Stewart (Turnhouse) making up the four.
Top handicap prize was shared on net 66 by Donny Munro (Kingsknowe) (69 less 3) and James Silvestro (Dalmahoy) (73 less 7) with the third prize going to Ron Grant (Baberton) (73 less 6).
Top Trainee on 70 was Scott Gillies (Craigmillar Park).
Top Senior was Ian Fyfe (Musselburgh) on net 69 (73 less 4).

Order of Merits see no change at top of Scratch but several changes in Handicap -
