NORTH-EAST ALLIANCE RESULTS FROM NEWBURGH ON YTHAN

PAUL LAWRIE WINS AT STORMY NEWBURGH WITH 5 UNDER 66

SCRATCH
Paul Lawrie (Carnegie Club) won today's North East Alliance Fixture with an excellent, 5 under par, 66. Lawrie double bogeyed the 1st and bogeyed the 5th but offset those dropped shots with birdies at the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th and 18th to cover Newburgh in halves of 36 and an excellent back nine of 30. He won by one from Kevin Duncan (PLGC) who shot 67. Duncan made 5 birdies and a single bogey with halves of 34 and 33. In solo third position was Paul's eldest son Craig Lawrie (PLGC) - who made 7 birdies and 4 bogeys for a three under 68. 

CLASS 1 
This week's Class 1 Winner was Ritchie Davidson (Caledonian) with an excellent net 65 to win by four from Alford's Gavin Chalmers.

CLASS 2
This week's Class 2 Winner was Raymond Brown (Inverurie) who won by a single shot, over Aboyne's Donald Lawrie, with an excellent net 68.
