England, leading by four points overnight, completed a comfortable 16-9 win over Scotland in the Under-16 boys' golf international over the West Course at the Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel, Edinburgh this morning (Sunday).
England won the final session of 10 singles by three points. Scotland's only winners on Day 2 were Jamie Stewart (Old Ranfurly), Darren Howie (Peebles) and
Eric McIntosh (Murrayfield). Aidan Smith (Edzell) figured in a halved match.
Stewart, who had nine birdies in his Saturday morning round of 63, and Rowan Carey (Auchterarder) were Scotland's most successful players with 2pt apiece from the three sessions of play.
Howie and Smith came next with 1.5pt each.
England's Charlie Strickland (Ham Manor) had a hole in one at the third hole on the West Course in Sunday's 5 and 4 win over Carey. That capped a good weekend for Charlie - he won both his singles and partnered Harry Goddard (Hanbury Manor) to a foursomes victory.
