McKendrick beats the pros in Midland Alliance at Pitreavie 

Scratch amateur Stuart McKendrick (Dunkeld and Birnam) led the way  with a two under par 69 in today's Midland Golfers' Alliance competition at Pitreavie Golf Club, Dunfermline. 

He won by one shot from two assistant professionals, Craig Armstrong (Burntisland Golf House) and Blairgowrie's Sam McLaren, and Edzell pro Alastair Webster.

Jim Meddicks, who plays off 13 at Murrayshall, won the handicap section by four strokes with a net 65. LEADING SCRATCH
