Neil Thomson wins Brodie Trophy Open at
Forres to complete Fraserburgh hat-trick
Neil Thomson (Fraserburgh) won today's Forres Golf Club 36-hole open tournament for the Brodie Trophy.
It is the third year in a row that the tournament has been won by a player from Fraserburgh.
Thomson had rounds of 71 and 69 for 140 to win by a shot from Bryan Fotheringham (Inverness and Forres) who had scores of 72 and 69.]Third was Andrew Hepburn (Fraserburgh) with a pair of 71s for 142

Jones of Forres won the Forsyth Trophy for the lowest nett aggregate of 139 (68-71). Kevin Gibson of Kemnay also had a net total of 139 but he lost out on a comparison of the second rounds.l Gibson's scores were 65 and 74.
