Ronnie Clark leads North Seniors Open
By GORDON THOMSON
Ronnie Clark ( Erskine), who
won three times on last year’s circuit, is the first round leader in the North Seniors
Open at Elgin with a fine score of one-over-par 70.
This gave him a three-stroke advantage over Keith Bruce
(Edzell ) and Doug Imrie (Turnhouse ) with no fewer than six players just one
shot further back.
The highly rated Elgin course
was in fine condition and presented an excellent test for the high quality
field.
