GUNN EARNS A FEW DOLLARS MORE
Jimmy Gunn from Dornoch, now based at Scottsdale, Arizona, finished in a three-way tie for second place today in the eGolf Gateway Tour's Sprint Tournament No. 4 at Lone Tree Golf Club, Chandler, Arizona.
Gunn shot rounds of 65, 65 and 66 for an aggregate of 17-under-par 196 over a par-71 course.
His putt at the 18th in the final round hung on the lip but stayed above ground. Had it gone in he would have finished second on his own and earned almost double the $6,025 he did collect.
Gunn finished three shots behind the winner of the $14,200 first prize, Americal Dino Giacomazzi from Scottsdale with rounds of 61, 68 and 64 for 20 under 193.
