STRONG FINISH BY McLEARY FOR SHARE OF SECOND

PLACE ON ALGARVE PRO TOUR

Jamie McLeary, pictured below, birdied four of the last six holes for a five-under-par 67 and a share of second place at the halfway stage of this weekend's Algarve Pro Tour event at Castro Marim Golf Club near the border with Spain.

McLeary's bogey-free round had birdies at the second, 13th, 15th, 17th and 18th.
He is sharing second spot with South African Tayler Hogarty, two shots behind leader Marcus Armitage from England.
Jay Taylor is joint 10th on 70 but Duncan Stewart, after birdieing the third, fourth, eighth and ninth, dropped shots at the 10th, 12th, 14th and 17th, offset by only one further birdie, at the 13th. He finished the day with a 73 and sharing 20th place.
