TAYLOR LEADING SCOT IN ALGARVE'S MOGADO CLASSIC
Jay Taylor kept up his recent good form to be the leading Scot, in joint 11th place in a field of 71 players, at the end of the first round of the Algarve Pro Tour's Mogado Classic over 36 holes today.
Taylor had a round of level par 73 - four shots behind the Icelandic leader Axel ~Boasson and three behind the joint second-placed Ricardo Melo Gouveia (Portugal) and young Englishman Josh Hilleard.
Former PGA champion Scott Drummond had a 74 to be T19.
Ben Craggs shot a 77 for a share of 41st place.
Paul Lawrie's elder son Craig had a 78 for joint 49th postiion while Conor O'Neil had an off day to return an 80 for T62
