PAUL HOWARD T10 AT LAKE MACQUARIE HALFWAY

Lancashire's Paul Howard (Southport and Ainsdale) is the leading English player in joint 10th place at the halfway stage of the Lake Macquarie men's amateur international stroke-play championship at Belmont Golf Club, Newcastle in New South Wales.

Howard, pictured, has had rounds of 73 and 67 for a three-under-par tally of 141 - six shots behind joint leaders Justin Warren (Australia), 70-65) and Canadian Corey Connors (67-68)
English stroke-play champion Ben Stow (Rushmere GC, Dorset) is T20 alongside Jimmy Mullen (Royal North Devon) on the level apr 144 mark.
Stow has had a pair of 72s, Mullen 71-73.
English match-play champion Nick Marsh (Huddersfield) is T46 on 148 after rounds of 75-73.
