PAUL LAWRIE WINS BY SEVEN FROM

GREIG HUTCHEON ON ALGARVE

Paul Lawrie won the Paul Lawrie Foundation 36-hole tournament on the Algarve by seven strokes with a seven-under-par total of 137 at the Vila Sol course, Vilamoura.

Paul followed up his opening five-under 67 with a 70 today (Friday) on another  dry, pleasantly warm and windless day in southern Portugal.

Greig Hutcheon finished second with a pair of par 72s for 144, two shots ahead of third-placed Ross Kellett (75-71)

Four players tied for four place on 148, including Paul Shields (pictured right) who improved by 16 shots on his opening round of 82 - his six-under 66 was the best by any player over the two days.

Scott Henderson (74-74), Alastair Forsyth (72-76) and Neil Fenwick (70-78) also shared fourth place.
