LINDRICK PRO SETS PACE WITH A 69 AT ESPICHE

SCOTS TRAIL ON ALGARVE

Scots Mark Hillson and Ted Innes-Ker are trailing leader B T Smith (Lindrick) at the end of the first round of the second event on the new Algarve Pro Tour.

Yorkshireman Smith shot a three-under-par 69 at the Espiche course, near Portimao, with the help of birdies at the second, 11th, 12th, 13th and 15th to lead by one from another Englishman, Harry Casey.

Hillson is joint 13th on 77 while Ker is sharing 16th place on 78 in a field of 32. The competition is over 36 holes with 2,000 euros going to the winner.
