ENGLISHMAN OVERHAULED OVER FINAL ROUND
WESSELINGH FINISHES FOURTH IN
JAPANESE SENIORS' TOURNAMENT

England’s Paul Wesselingh had to settle
for fourth place in the Fujifilm Senior Championship in Japan after
carding a one under par 71 in the final round.
The 2013 European Senior Tour Order of Merit winner was eight under par and at the top of the leaderboard after two rounds, but was pipped to the title by Kiyoshi Murota, who finished with a seven under par 65 and a 14 under par total of 274 – three shots clear of Thailand’s Boonchu Ruangkit.
Another Englishman, Simon P Brown, finished tied eighth on seven under par.
The final tournament of the 2014 European enior Tour season takes place next month at the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius, where Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie will receive the John Jacobs Trophy for topping the money list.
