MACRAE'S EAGLE 2 AT SECOND IS DECISIVE

HEATHER AND CHRIS COMBINE TO WIN 

£550 PRIZE WITH A 1O-UNDER-PAR 59

Heather MacRae (Gleneagles) and boyfriend Chris Kelly (unattached), the only mixed gender partnership in the field, dovetailed splendidly to shoot a better-ball, 10-under-par 59 to win today's £1,500 PGA in Scotland winter four-ball foursomes competition over the winter course at Montrose Links.
Heather, winner of the Paul Lawrie Ladies Tartan Tour championship at Dalmahoy last year and a GB and I amateur international in the 2005 Vagliano Trophy, the year she won the British women's amateur stroke-play title at Nairn, provided the highlight of their round.
She holed her second shot for an eagle 2 at the par-4 second hole.

At the end of a enoyable day for the 26 partnerships, MacRae and Kelly, pictured above, won by one stroke from the Colville Park partnership of Ian Anderson and Samuel Cairns.
First prize was £550 with £400 going to the runner-up pair.
Paul Lawrie (Carnegie Club) and Scott Henderson (Kings Links) earned around £185 for a third-place tie on 61 with two other pairs, Christopher Currie (Caldwell) and Gary McFarlane (Clober), and Tain's Stuart Morrison and Alan Reid (West Lothian).
