KRIS NICOL TRAILS BY 12 SHOTS IN ALPS TOUR MASTERS
Fraserburgh's Kris Nicol, playing out of the Paul Lawrie Golfer Centre, goes into Sunday's final round of the Alps Tour Masters at Golf de Pont-Royal in France 12 shots behind the Spanis leader, Edoardo Larranaga.
Nicol has had three rounds of two-over-par 74 for six-over 222 and is in joint 39th place.
Larranaga, in contrast, has scored 65, 72 and 73 for six-under 210 and is three shots clear of the field.
Nicol is the only Scot who survived the halfway cut.
