LOMBARD TROPHY OVER KING'S COURSE

PANMURE PAIR IN THE MIX AT 

GLENEAGLES PRO-AM FINAL

Panmure pro Andrew Crerar and his amateur partner, Craig McKinlay are two shots off the pace in third place after the first round of the Lombard Trophy Grand Final over the King's Course, Gleneagles.
They combined for a seven-under-par 64, which included an inward half of 31, thanks to eagle 3s at the 10th and 18th.
Nigel Pearce, the pro at Sleaford Golf Club, Lincolnshire holed his tee shot at the short third, which helped him and his amateur partner Shaun Clare to take the overnight lead with a nine-under-par 62.
The St Kew, Cornwall pairing of Richard O’Hanlon and Andy Jones finished the opening day in second place, just one shot behind on 63.
Norman Huguet and amateur Kevin Haggart (Musselburgh) are in joint seventh place in the field of 16 pairs who qualified through regional competitions. They had a 67.
