PRO ALISTAIR WEBSTER. AMATEUR JIM WATT TOP SCRATCH SCORES

HOME COMFORTS FOR EDZELL MEN

 AT  MIDLAND ALLIANCE
 
Local knowledge paid off for Edzell professional Alistair Webster and amateur Jim Watt in today's (Tuesday) Midland Golfers' Alliance competition over their home course.
Webster and Watt tied for the top scratch prize with par scores of 71.
Another Edzell member, two-handicapper Keith Bruce, also figured prominently in the leading net scores. He shared the handicap prize on net 70 with Colin Myles who plays off six at Monifieth.
Winners of the Ian Cooke Catering team competition by three shots were Fraser Mann (Carnoustie), Paul Brookes (Pitreavie) and Chris Westland (Alloa) with a best ball score of 59.
