BILL METHVEN WINS NE DISTRICT 

SENIORS' TITLE AT CRAIBSTONE

Royal Aberdeen's Bill Methven won the North-east District seniors golf championship, sponsored by Marshall Leisure, at Craibstone today (Friday). 
A six-handicapper, he shot a gross 70 to win the title by two shots from George Paterson (Northern) with host club general manager Billy Sim third on 74 alongside Graham McClaggan (Bon Accord).

North-east District secretary George Young (Inverallochy), playing off eight, won the Handicap Class 1 section with a net 67 while Rod Duff, who plays off 13 at  Kintore, won Section 2 with a net 66.
