WIN NUMBER FIVE FOR HUTCHEON
WITH A SIX-UNDER 66 AT NEWMACHAR

Greig Hutcheon chalked up his fifth win on this season's Tartan Tour with an excellent score of six-under-par 66 in windy conditions at the Newmachar Golf Club pro-am, sponsored by The Fairways (GM) Ltd and Ransomes Jacobsen.
Hutch started his round at the 18th in this shotgun pro-am.
"I hit my opening tee shot way right on the wind and almost went out of bounds. I chipped out and then had a good up and down to save par," said Greig who never looked back after that.
He had seven birdies in all over the Dave Thomas-designed Hawkhill course - at the fifth, seventh, eighth, 11th, 12th, 14th and 16th. HIs only bogey came at the 13th.
"Greens really are first class at Newmacher."
The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre player earned the £900 first prize by two strokes from Stephen Gray (Hayston) with another Paul Lawrie GC player, Greg McBain, sharing third place on 69 with Fraser Mann (Carnoustie Golf Club). McBain was a Newmachar GC member in his amateur days.
Hutcheon has now won over £17,000 this season and this is only early July!
Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf), who finished joint fifth on 70, led the DHCH Engineering trio of David Hedley (handicap 18), David Patterson (13) and Pat Doherty (8) to victory in the team event with a net score of 17-under-par 127.
