FRENCH BOY WINS SCOTS UNDER-16 TITLE

Home-grown talent claimed only five of the leading 11 places in the Global Golf Post Scottish Under-16 boys open amateur stroke play championship over 72 holes at Glen Golf Club, North Berwick today.
The winner with a level par aggregate of 280 was France's Paul Foulquie with rounds of 67, 73, 72 and 68.
He won by four shots from Australian Ben Ferguson (72-74-69-69).
Joint third on the well spread out field were England#s Thomas Harrison (Nevill) and Sami Valimalo (Finland).
Scotland's highest finishers were Matthew McCulloch (Portpatrick Dunskey), Robert Watson (Muckhart) and Callum Bruce (Duff House Royal), joint 5th on 290.
Glen Burrett (Haggs Castle) made the top 10 in joint ninth place on 291
