BOB STEWART WINS WEST SENIORS

OPEN BY THREE STROKES

Tulliallan's Bob Stewart returned to form to win the West of Scotland Seniors Open 36-hole tournament at Cardross Golf Club today (Friday).

Stewart, who plays off a handicap of one at the age of 63, shot a pair of 71s, against the CSS marks of 73 and 72, to win by three strokes from first-round leader John Johnston (Lanark) who had scores of 70 and 75 for 145.

David Imrie (Thornton) finished third on 146 with a pair of 73s.
Stewart also had the lowest net 36-hole total
