Wilson Bryson writes:
Drumpellier
is one of the best
courses in the West
of Scotland. It's always in great condition, and has
a long
list of top amateurs and internationalists who have won the
prestigious 36-hole event
(Charlie Green, Barclay Howard, Steven O’Hara, A D Ferguson, Brian
Smith, W S
Bryson, Allyn Dick and Dean Robertson to name but a few).
In addition,
to reflect the challenge offered by the course, Drumpellier was re-rated
by the SGU at the start of the year and the SSS increased by an extra
stroke from 70 to 71, so now matches the Par.
