SCOTS TRIO MAKE CUT, BUT TWO FAIL

AT MARRAKESH IN MOROCCO

Paul Lawrie Golf Centre team-mates Philip McLean (144), David Law (145) and Jordan Findlay (146) made the second-round cut in the Samanah Open at Samanah Country Club, Marrakesh, Morocco.

But Conor O'Neil (154) and Craig Lawrie (163) missed out.

McLean, stringing together his two steadiest competitive rounds for some time, has had two par rounds of 72 and is eight shots behind the leader Philipp Mejow (Germany) (68 68 for eight under 136).
The Peterhead player varied from par only twice in his second-round halves of 35-37, birdieing the long ninth and bogeying the shot 14th. 

Findlay has had a pair of 73s. Jordon continues to make a lot of birdies - the first, sixth, ninth and 18th in this round - but he needs to make fewer bogeys - five of them today in halves of 35-38.

Law slashed five shots off his first round to return a 70. The Aberdonian had a terrific run of five under par over a span of four holes: birdies at the long ninth, 10th and 11th and an eagle 3 at the 12th.  He also birdied the 16th. Four bogeys ruled out a sub-70 score which may yet come in the final round.

O'Neil had scores of 78 and 76, while Lawrie shot 81-82.
