SUPERB TWO-UNDER-PAR 68 BY MONTROSE ASSISTANT PRO

GRAEME BROWN TAMES ARBROATH

 WIND TO WIN MIDLAND ALLIANCE

Montrose Links assistant professional Graeme Brown, pictured, won this week's Midland Golfers' Alliance competition over a very windy Arbroath links with a superb score of two-under-par 68.
Runner-up was local one-handicap amateur Steven Cargill with a 70, one shot ahead of third-place Carnoustie professional Fraser Mann.
Cargill's net 69 won him the leading handicap prize.
Steven also helped his all-Arbroath team of Euan Rae (5) and Scott Arbuthnott, also playing off 5, to the first prize in the team competition, sponsored by Ian Cooke Catering.
