BYRNE MISSES CUT AT ASIAN TOUR FINAL Q SCHOOL
James Byrne's pro golf career suffered another setback today (Thursday) whenhe missed the halfway cut in the Asian Tour Final Qualifying School in Thailand.
The Banchory player, winner of the Northern Open for the past two years, shot 75-70 for two-over-par 145, failing by three shots to be one of the 82
players who advance to the final two rounds to provide the leading 40 and ties qualifiers for the Asian Tour.
In the final analysis, it was Byrne's triple bogey 7, which included a two-shot  penalty, at the second hole of his first round which came back to haunt him.
The biggest name among the failures was Zane Scotland who shot 75-69 for 144.
