HARRINGTON CADDIE FLOOD COLLAPSES DURING SECOND ROUND IN SOUTH AFRICAN HEAT
Three-time major winner Padraig Harrington
was forced to make a personnel change during the second round of the
Volvo Golf Champions in South Africa today when his caddie collapsed because of dehydration.
Ronan Flood, who serves as Harrington's regular caddie in addition to being his brother-in-law, became ill on the sixth hole and was rushed back to the clubhouse at Durban Country Club, where he was treated by an on-site doctor.
Harrington turned to a member of the gallery to tote his bag until tournament officials were able to provide him with a replacement. Pat Cashman, an Irish-born photographer, donned the caddie bib in Flood's absence
