GREG NICOLSON FINISHES TOP SCOT IN DUBAI CREEK OPEN


Mortonhall's Greg Nicolson finished the MENA Tour's Dubai Creek Open as the leading Scot in joint 10th place.
He improved with every round in the 54-hole tournament, shooting 74-72-69 for two-over-par 215 over the par-71 course.
Tom Buchanan and Ross Bain tied for 35th place on 222. Buchanan had rounds of 77, 74 and 71 while Bain shot 77, 72 and 73.
Rookie pros Conor O'Neill (Pollok) and Fraser McKenna (Balmore) did not quite last out the distance. O'Neill had scores of 72, 74 and 77 for 223 and a share of 41st place.
McKenna shot 74, 72 and 79 for 225 and joint 48th place.
England's Zane Scotland won the title for the second year in a row, thanks to a birdie at the 18th to pip long time leader, New Zealander Trevor Marshall.
Scotland had roounds of 69, 70 and 67 for seven under 206, Marshall had 67, 71 and 69 for 207.
