HUTCH RECORD 63 IN KIPPIE LODGE VICTORY

Banchory Golf Club tour professional Greig Hutcheon continued his rich seam of form to lower his own course record and win the top prize of £1,466 in the Kippie Lodge Sports Club pro-am at Peterculter Golf Club today (Saturday).
Hutcheon, recent winner of the Gleneagles Scottish PGA title, shot an eight-under-par 63 - one lower than the record he held jointly with Sam Cairns, which included nine birdies, five of them consecutively in an inward half of seven-under 28.
His figures were:

It was 43-year-old Greig's sixth win on the Tartan Tour this season and he has amassed £23,390 from 30 competitions. Three of his six wins have come over the last 11 days.
Hutch won by two shots from Chris Kelly (Cawder) and Stephen Gray (Hayston) who earned £1,026 apiece for their 65s

Andrew Munro (Musselburgh), one of the last players to finish, led the "Deeside Boys" to victory in the pro-am team event with a 22 under par total of 120. The amateurs were Connor Forbes (handicap 7), Ryan Clark (15) and Harry Howarth (10).

They relegated the long-time leaders, Scott Henderson and the Burness and Paul team, who had scored 19-under 123, to second place.
