GOLF SCHOLARS - A WEBSITE WINDOW ON US SCHOLARSHIP RECRUITMENT
NEWS RELEASE
Golf Scholars, the global website for US scholarship
recruitment, has been the talking point amongst young golfers over the last
couple of weeks. With 43 coaches already signed up, player members are taking
advantage of the platform to build their profiles and search for colleges that
suit their academic and golf requirements.
The platform works by providing players with the opportunity
to take ownership of their own profile page. The profile is unique to each
player and acts as a promotional page. It is here that academic information,
swing video, player image, a personal statement and a number of other
indicators are uploaded.
Each player also has their own stats program, where
they can upload the competitive rounds they play. From the rounds played, 20
golfing stats are produced and presented on the player’s profile. Coaches can
then search profiles and contact players that fit their academic and golf
program requirements.
Players can also contact coaches at colleges they are
interested in attending.
The college recruitment process has numerous strands and
Golf Scholars has provided comprehensive information about the process, even
down to helping the player plan when to take the required tests depending on
their desired enrolment date.
The website has been built with member security as its key
fundamental. All college coaches who become members are vetted to ensure they
have joined the site legitimately. Players can also only view college profiles
and no player can view other player profiles.
In addition, no member emails are
visible on the website.
Membership is for 1 year from date of full registration,
although Golf Scholars is currently providing 2 years for the price of 1 as a
loyalty offering for members who sign up before the 2nd of September
2013. Even without this offer, the pricing philosophy has been put in place to
ensure it is a young golfer’s academic and golfing ability that gives them the
opportunity to gain a scholarship, not financial resources.
An “Info for Parents” page is available on the homepage in
order to answer any questions they may have. Gavin and Liam can be contacted at
info@golfscholars.com or via the contact
form at www.golfscholars.com
