JACK McDONALD OUTSIDE TOP TEN IN BRABAZON TROPHY
TennDant Cup winner at Killermont on Sunday, Jack McDonald (Barassie) and Gordon Stevenson (Whitecraigs) were jointly the leading Scot at the halfway stage of the English open amateur stroke play championship for the Brabazon Trophy at Formby Golf Club, Lancashire.
They started the third round on 148, McDonald with scores of 71 and 77, Stevenson with rounds of 72-76.
Ewan Scott (St Andrews) had 77-74 for 151; Daniel Young (Craigie Hill) 73-79 for 152, and Ross Bell (Downfield) 77-76 for 153
Jordan Smith (Bowood) is the leader on four-under-par 140 (71-69), four shots clear of Freddie Sheridan-Mills (Walsall) 72-72
