RAIN FORCES SUSPENSION OF PLAY IN AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Play has been suspended at the GolfKings Scottish men's area team championship at Crail Golfing Society.
Torrential rain has caused excess water on the courses and the SGU officials made the decision to call the players back to the clubhouse and suspend play in the stroke-play qualifying round which is designed to produce four areas to go forward to Sunday's match-play stages. 
North-east team captain Mike Pocock had to make a change in the line-up before the start of play. Graham Gordon was ruled out with a back injury and Clark Brechin (Murcar Links) was drafted in.
